Andrea Mancini is an italian illustrator, concept and fine artist. He began working as a cartoonist at a young age by studying with master animator Tomislav Spikic from Zagreb Film and doing advertising design with Leonardo Mattioli.
In the 1980s, his career in visual communications encountered a significant turning point when he was hired by Leader, the creative advertising company run by Gilberto Filippetti. Subsequently, he worked as a freelance illustrator and often frequented Paris and New York to further his professional development through studios of artists and designers such as Massimo Vignelli, Lubalin and Peckolick, Seymour Chwast, and Andy Warhol. During that time, he exhibited work in Japan, the US and the Bologna Art Fair.
In the 1990s, Andrea gained expertise in digital painting and in 1999, his animated graphic design project was featured in the “Lohengrin” opera production by Luca Ronconi at the Comunale theater in Florence.
In 2000, he won the Fiorino prize for the visual arts and a selection of his works werepurchased by the Museo Marino Marini in Florence. Andrea currently creates illustrations for creative advertising and fashion companies, teaches fine arts, and is a brand ambassador for Wacom Europe. Watercolors, both traditional and digital, are his preferred medium.
